Social Distancing in Northstar

We feel fortunate to live full time in Northstar especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing changes how we interact with friends and clients, but we still are able enjoy what Northstar has to offer. While there was snow, x-c skiing through Martis Valley and the golf course gave the world some semblance of normalcy when postings of positive cases and mortality rates started to fill the news. Wild flowers are in bloom, swallows are putting on arial shows, and Sandhill Cranes and American White Pelicans are sited daily from our back yard. We share this beauty with other locals who walk the golf course daily…adhering to social distancing recommendations. Here is a glimpse of life in Northstar.

This post is intended to plant the idea that maybe full-time life in the mountains could be a viable option. If you seek open space to recreate, need good internet, and like the sense of a community, perhaps moving to Northstar would reinvigorating. We think it certainly is a pleasant place to be during this pandemic.

Real estate activity has not stopped, but changed. We can show property to one to two people at a time. Agent and client wear protective gloves and masks and drive in separate vehicles to the properties. Special care is given to occupied properties ensuring the safety of all. Title and mortgage companies are deemed essential open for business.
